Dong Khanh Hotel also a venue to dine

Dong Khanh Hotel began to serve customers in a new face earlier this year after undergoing big repair and upgrade. The Saigon hotel looks new, from its façade to the lobby, rooms and restaurants. Seen from outside, Dong Khanh remains ancient in its characteristic pink red color. Inside the hotel, the lobby with the reception area has the harmony between classical and modern architectural styles. Carpets on the corridor along rooms were all replaced to be thick and soft to make it more convenient for guests.

The rooms are elegantly and cozily designed, with new furnishings.

To Saigon residents and Chinesespeaking tourists, the Dong Khanh Hotel is a familiar name. The hotel with a history of more than 50 years reminds locals of an ancient Chinatown with bustling business activities. In the old days, Dong Khanh enjoyed the popularity in Saigon as a well-known Chinese restaurant. On Friday, the hotel still maintains its Chinese gastronomic style but also serves with other Asian and European styles to meet customers’ diverse demands.

To stay-in guests, Dong Khanh always has special incentives for groups of guests and guests who stay for a long term.

This year, Dong Khanh also strives to better serve guests and diners by upgrading services and serving parties of new styles. Its lunch buffet always has new dishes, with the menu changed every day.

From March 11, the hotel’s restaurant has served the “Hotpot Buffet” with more than 30 dishes on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. To thank customers and welcome the new buffet, the restaurant offers a 10% discount for 5-10 tickets bought, one Dong Khanh silver card for 11-15 tickets bought and one Dong Khanh golden card for at least 16 tickets bought. The buffet costs adults VND199,000 and children VND139,000. Big groups of diners to the buffets are charged with attractive prices.

Wedding parties are also a professional service of Dong Khanh. This year, the restaurant will offer special promotions, such as a 15% discount for a party with at least 10 tables at noontime, a 15% discount for a party with at least 10 tables in August, and a 10% discount for a night party on Monday to Friday from March until September. Aside from buffets and wedding parties, outside catering is also a strong service of the restaurant.

Dong Khanh in the last two years provided many successful parties outside, especially big parties with thousands of people taking part.

The Dong Khanh Hotel-Restaurant is located at 2 Tran Hung Dao B Street District 5, HCMC.
